The Autograph Collection is set to add the Hotel Cotton House Barcelona to its portfolio. The hotel is housed in a 19th century building that was formerly the headquarters of the Association of Cotton Manufacturers.
Staying true to the hotel’s historical essence, Barcelona-based designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán was commissioned to design the hotel in a contemporary and sophisticated manner. With 83 bedrooms including seven suites, the boutique hotel welcomes guests through a covered hall of mirrors, leading them into the octagonal hall with two staircases.
The former public areas of the building now house a library, a restaurant and cocktail bar, a conservatory, and a terrace with vegetation. A rooftop pool occupies the sixth floor.
“Barcelona is a hugely popular destination for both leisure and business travelers, and we are really excited to debut such a unique hotel in the heart of Catalonia,” says John Licence, brand leader for Autograph Collection in Europe. “The rich heritage of the building is complemented by the exquisite new design, and we have no doubt that travelers will have an incredible experience that Autograph Collection has become known for delivering.”
